Privacy Policy

Kynra is a fitness-planning and workout-tracking service. This policy explains the information processed when you use the Kynra iPhone app, its ChatGPT plugin, and the supporting API.

Information you choose to provide

Kynra may process your workout plans, completed exercises, sets, repetitions, loads, effort ratings, goals, equipment preferences, limitations, nutrition totals, hydration, and fitness summaries. If you grant Apple Health access, the iPhone app reads only the categories you approve. Apple Health permissions can be changed in iOS Settings.

Accounts and authentication

Sign in with Apple and our authentication provider process identifiers and account credentials needed to keep each user's records separate. Kynra does not receive your Apple ID password.

How information is used

Information is used to import and display plans, record completed work, personalize later fitness guidance, provide nutrition and training summaries, maintain account security, and operate the beta service. When you request an API-generated workout inside Kynra, relevant preferences and fitness context are sent to OpenAI to generate that workout.

ChatGPT connection

ChatGPT sends a completed plan to Kynra through a direct app handoff. Kynra's connector does not retain that plan. If you enable private history sync, Kynra stores an authenticated snapshot of the fitness and nutrition fields exposed by its read tools so ChatGPT can answer your requests. Completed-workout handoff records expire automatically after 72 hours.

Storage and service providers

The app stores data on your device and may use your private iCloud database. The connector uses Cloudflare for hosting and private server storage, Auth0 for authentication, Apple for Sign in with Apple and iCloud services, and OpenAI for ChatGPT integration and optional workout generation. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.

Sharing and sale

Kynra does not sell personal information. Data is shared only with service providers needed to perform requested features, when you direct a transfer, or when required by law.

Retention and deletion

Temporary workout mailboxes expire after 72 hours. Synced Kynra workout history is merged by workout identifier and remains until the account data is deleted. You may disconnect Kynra in ChatGPT, remove Apple Health access, delete local app data by deleting the app, and request deletion through the support process below.

Safety and children

Kynra is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Kynra is not a medical device and should not be used for emergencies, diagnosis, or treatment.
